The Swift Model School was established in the year 2022 with a vision of producing smart Human Beings, fit for the modern society yet bows down to the cultural aspects of Indian Value system and therefore in order to get cultivated to serve their mother land for a higher cause in the future.
Hence at Swift we have created different levels of teaching pedagogy apt and appropriate for the kids of different age-groups.
The school activities help in boosting the confidence of students as they learn to express themselves in front of others. These professionally designed and perfectly executed activities help the students in their holistic development and assist in developing critical and creative thinking as well as bringing social, emotional, cognitive, analytical, leadership, technological, ethical, problem solving, recreational and value based life skills and abilities to be successful and happy in 21st Century. When theoretical curriculum and co-curricular activities are integrated together, then chance of learning more and exploring more about one’s strengths, interests, and abilities becomes higher. Therein lies the importance of these activities which are complementary to the theoretical curriculum.
There are various extensive learning programs designed to ensure that every member of the Swift community feels a sense of better learning as well as they acquire some life skills and value based assertions.
We proudly state that we run exceptionally perfected self-designed learning programs for our students so that they develop a sense of belongingness with everything they go through at this place. Some of them are as follows-
In the 21st Century, the world is changing rapidly and so its needs. Therefore, the conventional education curriculum, which was developed in the early 20th Century, has to pave the way to a new kind of education and learning. In the book 21st Century Skills : Learning for Life in Our Timesthe authors Bernie Trilling and Charles Fadel have premised that “the world has changed so fundamentally in the last few decades that the roles of learning and education in day-to-day living have also changed forever”.
This program is part of the school’s natural progression & evolution. At its heart, it is a direct extension of one of our core pedagogical practices - experiential learning. This will allow our students to experience the entire cycle of problem-solving & creation. Having identified a challenge, they will collaborate to ideate, learn new skills & use new tools, design and build prototypes, test for effectiveness and refine their solutions.
As we develop the program, we believe that the students will be able to get a first-hand experience of what it means to be an avid learner or a creator. We aim, over the next few years, to have all our budding designers to excel in apprenticeship and be able to hold their own workshops regarding the same.
It is a set of exclusively designed indigenous activities which ensures the Swifter learning of the key concepts without making the content complicated while keeping the diversity of the class in mind.
Motor skills are crucial for children's overall development and vital in enabling the better movements of the tasks which a student performs every day. It is a way in which children learn and develop physically and cognitively by aiding in pincer grasp, hand-eye coordination, body balance, and arising a sense of their own abilities.
At Swift we organize a wide range of activities specially designed for the pre-primary kids to enhance their fine, gross and sensory motor skills in all. Not only this we also own a separate spacious and child friendly gross motor play area and sensory motor play area specifically created for overall motor skill development of our kids.
Gross motor skills involve movements of the large muscles of the arms, legs, and torso. Students rely on gross motor skills for activities at school, at work, at home, and in their everyday lives. Development of gross motor skills is very important for whole-body movements like running and jumping.By the time kids reach two years of age, all children must get these skills developed.
Fine motor skill is the coordination of small muscles in movement with the eyes, hands and fingers. Fine motor skills aid in the growth of intelligence and develop continuously throughout the stages of human development by enhancing their holding, grip, pincer grasp and hand-eye coordination etc.
The sensory and motor systems are tightly integrated. Sensory stimulation and feedback provides important information to the brain through sensory skills like smell, touch, vision, hearing, and balance. Motor function is how your brain and body receives signals, and then reacts to, sensory stimulation.
The Swift Model School is a vibrant community of scholars and learners, who aim to grow and learn from new experiences and prepare new generation kids to face the world with all the might in accordance to GLOBAL COMPETENCE. Hence we foster a rigorous and highly relevant, indigenously designed Coding and Robotics curriculum for the experiential learning of programming for our students. The National Education Policy 2020 suggests Coding and Robotics as a mandatory subject in middle classes. Taking a step forward we are introducing a separate curriculum for Coding and Robotics from the very first class as we believe that children as young as a first grader should start learning the basics of programming as this is the elevation period of their creativity.
We proudly state that we are the only school of the city to introduce such a vivacious and student friendly smart curriculum which is beyond the levels of any existing online platform in India.
The Swift curriculum Model proudly represents the school's commitment to optimize teaching, learning and facilitate children's Holistic development by implementing experiential learning at the maximum.
The school hosts a wide range of academic and non-academic scholastic co- scholastic co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which include the extensive learning of core academic concepts, strengthening of cognitive aspects, sports, cultural programs, educational visits, panel and group discussions, moderation, orientation seminars, academic and other research based scientific programs. These professionally designed and perfectly executed activities help the students in their Holistic development.
As we know that Experiential learning is a modern age academic tool which provides student's budding brains with brilliant 21st century skills such as creativity, innovation, team collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking etc. Hence, the sole purpose of organizing educational visits for our students is to give them the first hand experience of what it is called Real Learning.
At Swift we regularly organize Grade-wise educational visits for our students so that it can further enhance their classroom learning and they learn to interact within the peer group while developing the problem-solving and team-collaboration skills at their end.
